"Unremembered" & "Unforgotten" by Jessica Brody- Main character's feeling, emotions, and actions are affected by supporting characters

Imagine you're in the hospital and you have no memory of yourself and you whole intire life. Then, someone walk into your room, and tell you that your whole life is fake and have been programmed by computer. This is the life of Sera (Seraphina) in Unremembered and Unforgotten (2nd book), by Jessica Brody. Both books talks about a 16 years old girl, Sera, that survive in a plane crash and she don't know anything. The people around her help her piece back her (present) life and her (past) life back together. As Sera meet more and more good and bad people in her life, her personality and the way she acts starts to change. Just like Sera, many people around the world can really change other people from the words that you use to describe other people to the actions you do. People can treat other people negatively or positively and that can change their actions and emotions in the future (positively or negatively). Throughout the two series, Sera have changed in many different ways that are caused by supporting characters.
In both books, one major supporting character is Zen. He is the first person to tell Sera about her truth identity and that her life in the past is all fake. Before Sera meet Zen, she was very frightened and empty that she don't know anything about her, or her family, or anything. In the story it states " "This," he says, picking up and holding it protectively in his hand, "is where I've stored your memories"..."My memories?" My voice quivers...I hold my hands to my head. "What is going on?" ". Zen is very cautious and protective about Sera' past life memories. This made Sera more cautious about the people around her that want to learn her secrets. In the second book, Sera is Zen's girlfriend and that also change Sera even more. As they run together, Zen made Sera more confident and accepting her fake past. Zen's words and love made Sera to be less frustrated with her life. All in all Zen really made Sera turn into a new person.
Another important supporting character is Cody. Cody is Sera's foster brother in book #1 and he is a nerd that really want to help Sera. In book one, Cody made Sera more human again. Sera knows that she doesn't belong in this world and her foster brother teach her things that a normal human would do such as using the computer or playing a simply game. In book 2, Sera time travel into the future and Cody is really weird out that Sera can time travel.Even though Cody is very busy as a scientist and a father, he agree to help Sera. Cody made Sera more trusted and open about her secrets about time traveling and not-so-real past.
In both books, written by Jessica Brody, the character Sera changed throughout the series. The supporting characters , Zen and Cody, really change Sera's life and her feeling and actions. The series is very similar to real life. Sometimes in life people are struggling with their problem. Other people can help them or change their way or thinking on solving that problem. The bad part is that is you don't know if you can trust them or not. Sometimes people can steer you into the wrong tracks but there will always be people cheering you on in life.
